Signal to Noise Ratio
The Signal To Noise ratio measures the statistical
quality of a signal. Mathematically, it is the measured value
divided by the uncertainty, or noise, in that value. This is also
given by the inverse of the relative error. This quantity is often
abbreviated SNR or S/N. Higher SNR implies higher statistical
confidence in a measurement.
