Background Properties Page (Star Removal)
The settings on the Background page control
the polynomial function used to fit and remove the local background
subtraction around the position of the template or target object.
Changing this setting results in all targets and templates being
re-evaluated on all images.
Background Method
|
Select from this list the order of polynomial to
fit to pixels in the background region around each object. The
background is evaluated between the Middle Aperture and Outer
Aperture of the marker. This affects both template samples and
target objects. A 2x2 polynomial is usually a good choice since it
can accommodate a constant, sloped, or twisted surface underneath
the star.
