Plot Notes Pane
The Plot Notes pane provides a facility for adding notes about plotted data which can then be copied to the clipboard, pasted to a Mira Text Editor for further editing, or saved to a file.
To open or close the Plot Notes pane use theEdit > Show Notes Pane command on the main menu for plots. This command is duplicated in theWindow > Docking Panes submenu.
The following picture shows the Plot Notes pane open at the bottom of a Plot Window.
The Notes pane accepts standard text editing commands like cut, copy, paste etc. In addition, you can save its contents to a text file or paste into a Text Editor where the text can be further edited. To access these tools, right-click on the Notes pane to open its context menu. Grayed commands are not accessible because they require marking a block of text before opening the menu to use the command.
