Copy and Paste Commands for Images


The commands below perform copying, editing, and some pasting operations. These commands are located in the various Edit menus.

Undo (Ctrl+Z) restores the image to its previous state after being changed.

Copy (Ctrl+C) copies the contents of most window types to the clipboard.

Paste (Ctrl+V) copies the clipboard data into certain types of windows, such as Text Editors and Plot windows.

Copy Window (Ctrl+W) copies the image window, including overlaid graphics, to the clipboard.

Copy Bitmap copies the image bitmap rather than the screen display to the clipboard.

Copy Markers (Ctrl+Shift+C) copies the locations of markers (e.g., photometry apertures) to the clipboard.

Paste Markers (Ctrl+Shift+V) pastes the locations of markers (e.g., photometry apertures) into an image.

Empty Clipboard removes copied objects and frees memory used by the clipboard.

Crop (Ctrl+X) crops (cuts) the image to a smaller size.

Duplicate makes a copy of the top-most displayed image and displays it in a new Image window.

Duplicate Image Set makes a copy of the entire image set and displays it in a new image window.
