Profiles
A Profile is a Mira protocol for managing a collection of command preferences or properties using a group name. This makes it easy to operate a complex or repetitive procedure without having to remember all of the specific settings. For example, Combining Images is a classic case of requiring many preferences that give a certain type of combining that you will need to repeat on numerous occasions. Therefore, the Combine Images dialog saves its preferences in profiles that you can re-use at any time—you simply choose the desired profile from the list.
The user interface to Mira profiles is the Profile Control. The profile control helps you manage the profiles available for the particular dialog. Using the profile control, you can add new profiles, delete profiles, or change and update existing profiles. Not all dialogs have a Profile Control, but most Mira dialogs that have more than just a few simple controls do use a profile control.
