Interactive Commands
These buttons on the Image Toolbar operate frequently used commands. The left 2 buttons operate in conjunction with the Image Cursor. The next 2 buttons operate through toolbars in conjunction with the mouse pointer (see Image Cursors). The 5 left-most buttons have commands that are duplicated in the Measure menu. The button is duplicated in the Edit pull-down menu. All have counterparts in the Image Context Menu.
The commands operated by these buttons are described in the table below.
Interactive Command Buttons

Calculates the centroid position near the center of the Image Cursor. Results are reported in the Centroid Measurements window. Before clicking this button, move the Image Cursor to within a few pixels of the target point . After the computation of the centroid, this command moves the Image Cursor to the centroid coordinates.

Calculates the statistics inside a rectangular region near the center of the Image Cursor. Results are reported in the Statistics Measurements window.

Calculates the distance and angle between two endpoints drawn on the image. Results are reported in the Distance & Angle Measurements window. This button opens the Distance & Angle command toolbar. |

Plots the Line Profile along a line between two endpoints drawn on the image. This button opens the Line Profile command toolbar. |

If the image has an RGB data type, this button opens the Palette Properties dialog. Otherwise, it opens the Transfer Function Properties dialog. |

Opens either the FITS Header window or the Image Info window. The choice is controlled by the current setting of a program flag.

Sets the Process Image Set flag for this window.

Sets the Measure Image Set flag for this window.
