Running Scripts in the Mira GUI

This topic illustrates how scripting fits into the various processing modes available within Mira Pro x64.

Below is a review of bulk and automated processing modes provided by Mira. This shows where scripting (item 4) fits into the hierarchy of versatility and complexity:

  1. Processing single images and other data using interactive dialog commands and built-in functions.

  2. Bulk-processing of image sets using dialog commands and built-in functions.

  3. Using batch files to process images and image sets through multiple dialog commands.

  4. Using scripts to perform specific tasks ranging from simple to complex processing of Mira desktop data including images, files, and other data. New data created by a script become a part of the GUI, accessible to the same Mira tools as data produced outside of scripts.

All four processing modes are described in the Mira Pro x64 User's Guide.

The following graphic illustrates how Mira scripts interact with Mira desktop data and file data. A single script may load or save data using the methods shown below and may also launch other scripts.
