sPathName
is the either a relative path or a full path name for the new
directory.make_dir
The make_dir function creates a directory. The directory is specified using either a relative path or its full path (also called an absolute path). For example, a full path would be a string or value equal to "D:\\data\\2022-06-14\\data" whereas a relative path would be like "data". If a relative path is used, the file is created in the current working directory (see get_dir). Note that Windows directory components must be separated by the '\\' or '/' characters.
bSuccess, sMsg = make_dir( sPathName )
sPathName
is the either a relative path or a full path name for the new
directory.
bSuccess is
true if the function is successful or false if not.
sMsg is an
optional message string that recieves information about the
failure.
This function does not change the current directory to the new directory it creates. If the target directory already exists or cannot be created, make_dir will fail and return false plus an error message. Use change_dir to switch to the new directory. You can use is_dir to test whether the new directory was created.
