Image Window Properties
Image Window Properties control the settings of Image Windows. These properties can be changed globally, to make default settings for new image windows, or locally, to affect properties only for the specific window. The default properties dialog uses a profile control to save and recall parameter sets for use by future image windows. Local properties affect only the specific Image Window for which they are changed.
Note that the Default Image Window Properties window adds several properties that cannot be set by the Local Image Window Properties window.
Open these dialogs using the View > Default Properties > Image Window command and the View > Local Properties > Image Window command.

Automatic Window Sizing |
These options controls the size of an Image Window when first opened. Mira uses a complex algorithm to determine the window size and zoom factor by combining these settings with the Default Zoom setting. Display Entire Image: Mira chooses a zoom factor that allows the entire image to be viewed. The image is shrunk if necessary but nor enlarged. Default Window Size: Mira lets Windows determine the window size. Maximum Window Size: Mira makes the image as large as possible. |
Default Zoom |
These properties control the initial zoom setting used for images opened into new Image Windows. Use Default Zoom to force all images in new windows to open with the same zoom value, regardless of the window size. NOTE: The default zoom properties apply to all new Image Windows but not to currently open windows. Set Default Zoom
Initially, Set Default Zoom setting is NOT checked so that Mira chooses a reasonable zoom value for new Image Windows. Default Value: This specifies the image zoom value when Set Default Zoom is checked. |
Window Interior |
Selects the pattern used for the window background outside the image. If you choose Solid Color, then you can also set the color using the button to the right of the selection. |
