Edit Script Keywords

The Edit Script Keywords dialog facilitates changing the list of language keywords that are highlighted in the Script Editor. By default, Mira uses a set of known keywords in the Lua language. Use this dialog to add keywords you want highlighted or remove keywords you do not want highlighted. For example, you may with to highlight Assert, Exit, Printf, and other words that are not part of the Lua language syntax. The default keyword set is shown below. You may wish to remove some of the obscure keywords that are not likely to be used, such as setfenv, _G, and so on. Click the [OK] button to save the displayed keyword set as the default set for future scripts. Click [Update] to see your changes in the current Script Editor window. The [Reset] button recovers this complete set of keywords after you make changes.

The Edit Script Keywords dialog is opened using the View > Edit Script Keywords... command when a Script Editor window is top-most.

Example

The dialog above shows the default set of language keywords that are highlighted blue in the Script Editor. For example, suppose you want to highlight Assert, which is defined in Mira Pro Script module but not in the Lua language. In the picture below, notice that Assert is not highlighted.

Below, we have added Assert to the list, then clicked [Update] to update the script. To make this change permanent for future scripts, exit the Edit Script Keywords dialog using the [OK] button. Otherwise, the changes are discarded when the Script Editor closes.
