Despeckling Filter

The Despeckling Filter removes isolated impulse noise, or "speckles", from an image by applying a 3x3 median filter to the pixels. This filter imparts a small amount of smoothing to the image as a by-product of speckle removal. Although despeckling can be applied to an image of any pixel type, it is most often applied to RGB images to remove color channel noise as in the Merge LRGB Channels command.
