Irregular Polygon Region


Procedure

Each vertex is marked on the mouse button release, except for the first and last vertices, which are marked on mouse press and double click, respectively. The table below shows how mouse actions relates to vertex marking:

  1. Adjust the image to the desired magnification, image position, palette, and other attributes.

  2. Open the Region Measurement Toolbar. [more]

  3. Move the mouse to the starting point. Press and hold the mouse button to mark the first vertex.

  4. With the mouse button down, drag the mouse pointer to the second vertex and release the button.

  5. With the mouse button up, move to each successive point (except the last) and click the mouse button (down + up) to mark each vertex.

  6. At the final point, double click the mouse to mark the last vertex and terminate the region. The measurement is reported in the Regions Report window.

  7. To measure other regions, repeat steps 3 though 6.

  8. When finished you can disable marking mode by clicking the button.
