Point Measurements

Procedure

1.   Adjust the image to the desired magnification, image position, palette, and other attributes.

2.   Open the Point Measurement Toolbar. [more] Marking mode is automatically enabled when the toolbar is opened. If marking mode has been disabled by prior toolbar commands, activate it by clicking the button.

3.   Move the mouse to the target point and click the left mouse button. The point measurement is reported in the Points Report window. [more] If Centroid First Point is enabled in the Marking Preferences dialog, the position will lock onto the local centroid coordinate near where the mouse is released.

4.   Repeat step 3 to measure other point values.

5.   When finished you can disable marking mode by clicking the button.
