Multi-Tab Interface
The Multi-Tab Interface, or "MTI" is a tab control based interface to the view windows used in Mira. View windows display data, such as images and plots. The MTI takes up a small amount of screen space but makes it much easier to work with many images on the screen. The figure below shows the bottom of the Mira application window with the MTI tab control. Tabs are shown for 4 different views that are open. From the left they are an image, a plot, the statistics report, and a text editor used by the photometry package.
The MTI interacts with the view windows, opening a new tab every time a view opens or changes. Some of the handy tricks you can do with the MTI are:
Bring any view to the top of the window stack by clicking its tab.
Maximize or minimize any view by double-clicking its tab.
