Empty Clipboard

The Empty Clipboard command empties all the items placed onto the Windows clipboard. This command appears in Edit menus such as the one in the Image window's menu bar.

Normally, when you copy an object from Mira to the clipboard, Mira does not delete the item from the clipboard after you paste it into another window. This design permits you to paste the item multiple times; for example, you can paste the same image into various other image windows in order to compare different processing or display techniques.

The Empty Clipboard command is a method for "garbage collection" to reduce memory used by the Windows clipboard when you no longer need the items copied there.
