Report Window Menu


Report Windows Menus contain commands specific to Report Windows. These commands are described in the table below. They are duplicated in the Report Context Menu.

Menu Commands for Report Windows

File Menu

 

New

Opens the New dialog for creating a new document. Only the text type document for a Mira Text Editor is available.

Open

Opens the Open dialog. From here you can open any type of file that Mira supports.

Save As

Saves the table to a file. You can control which text is copied by using the Multi- select flag. If Multi- select is enabled, highlight the rectangular grid of cells of interest before executing this command.

Print

Prints the report table.

Page Setup

Opens the Windows standard Page Setup dialog for setting the page size


Edit Menu

 

Copy

Copies the contents of the table cells to the Windows Clipboard. The cells copied depends upon the Selection Mode (set in the View pull-down menu). If the selection mode is Single, the entire table is copied. In any other mode, only the highlighted cells are copied.

To transfer table text to another Windows application, use this command to copy to the clipboard, then use Edit > Paste in the other application.

Clear

Empties the contents of all table cells.

Empty Clipboard

Empties the contents of the Windows clipboard. Use this to save memory or to reset the clipboard.


View Menu

 

Scatter Plot

Opens the Scatter Plot dialog for plotting table data.

Optimize Column Widths

Optimizes the widths of the columns by removing wasted space. This shrinks the table to its smallest width while showing all content. See the topic Optimizing Column Widths.

Auto Optimize Column Widths

If checked, the table columns are automatically optimized as new data are added to the cells.

Selection Mode

Enables selection of single cells, multiple cells, or entire rows of the table. These options are used by the Copy and Scatter Plot commands.

Report Preferences

Opens the Report Preferences dialog from which you can change window and table attributes.

Mira Preferences

Opens the Mira Preferences dialog (same as Ctrl+R).
