Opening Files from File Lists
When Mira opens a File List, it sees the file as containing the names of actual files to be opened. Mira processes each file name in the file list and opens it in turn, as if you had used the Open dialog to select each of the files. The first procedure below describes opening a single File List. The second procedure, below, describes how to open files from 2 or more File Lists.
This command opens the standard Open dialog from the File menu. The only difference is that one or more File List type files are selected for opening.
The following picture shows a file list selected in a File Open dialog. Click the dialog's[Open] button to open all files contained in the file list(s).
Properties of the Open Dialog |
|
Flip FITS Files |
Check this box to flip FITS format images so that row number increases downward. Normally, FITS images are stored with rows number increasing upward and that is they normal way they are to be displayed. |
Open as Image Set |
Check this box to open all selected images together in a single Image Window. If unchecked, each image is opened in a different window. |
[File List >>] |
Opens the selected images or selected File List in a File List Editor. Use this for editing a file list before opening or to create a file list from the marked images. |
Note |
When one or more file lists is selected, do not use the [File List >>} button to create a file list of file lists as this can confuse Mira. |
