File Lists

A File List is a protocol Mira uses to reference many files whose names are all stored in one file. The advantage of the File List is that you can create the file list containing all the files you want to work with and then recall it at any time you want to process all those files. If you want to change the file list at some point, you can do that too. For example, you might want to display the images, apply some processing operations to them later, and be able to bring up the same set of images a month from now. Using a File List, you just need to know the file name of the File List. That means that it is also often useful to give a File List a sensible name so you will know in the future, exactly what it contains. Mira File Lists use the file name extension .axf.
